Philosophy

According to Dr. Konstantin Vasyukevich, facelifts still remain the gold standard to really turn back the clock and take up to 15 years off a person’s appearance. Dr. Vasyukevich takes pride in his ability to look at a person’s face and know right away how to enhance its natural beauty. “Each patient requires a custom approach to give them the best aesthetic outcome and help them maintain it for many years to come,” he says. “I analyze the patient’s face and determine the best approach based on their facial type and unique features.”

How can minimally invasive procedures enhance surgery?

Each cosmetic procedure, whether surgical or minimally invasive, is designed to solve a unique set of problems. And, when used properly, the two can greatly complement each other. The most effective facial rejuvenation is achieved using a combination of both surgical and nonsurgical methods. Less-invasive techniques can tremendously improve a surgical outcome, creating a balanced, natural-looking result.

How has your field evolved in recent years?

It has almost become a requirement in our society to look young and energetic, both in the workplace and in our personal lives. It’s really a thing of the past for people to wait until they are in their 60s or 70s to start considering facial rejuvenation procedures. We’re now seeing much younger patients coming in for treatments that will help them prevent facial aging.

How do you enhance the patient experience?

What is your philosophy on facial rejuvenation?

A facelift is one of the most powerful tools to restore facial beauty. It can reduce wrinkles, improve skin laxity and create a more youthful contour. When I perform a facelift, my aesthetic goal is to rejuvenate the appearance by restoring an attractive neck angle, as well as a contoured jawline. Above all, a facelift should always look natural and balanced.

What type of skill set does facial plastic surgery require?

It requires technical ability and healthy perfectionism, as well as a good eye for aesthetics and beauty. The face is probably the most challenging part of the body to work with. Successful facial rejuvenation requires achieving a delicate balance between a smooth and youthful facial shape without crossing the line to a taught and unnatural facial appearance. "Terrible experience and awful facelift result from this doctor. I would never have used him and wish I'd never seen his paid advertorial in the magazine's pages. I had another lift in 2005 ~ at that time I had done my homework very thoroughly for many years. Using this magazine as a lead the second time was NOT wise. In any event, it's done. Dr. K's work on my face was subpar and I certainly had a brilliant first lift by NYC's Alan Matarasso to compare it to (whose work Dr. K criticized quite abrasively so below is a link to a more detailed review, as well as photos of my results with Matarasso compared with the work of Dr. K. If you think this Dr. K's work is good, by all means, he's the doctor for you. But I've learned now of others whose results were very bad and has affected their lives. So just consider thoroughly, is my caveat emptor. If you have any doubt, go elsewhere. There are many brilliant surgeons. He is not one of them. After all, this is your face. I do not have a positive testimonial whatsoever and so the moderation panel has not approved it seeing it's not here more than a week after submitting, opting instead to apparently bias in their delivery of features and doctors cloaked as editorial worthy, so you believe it comes from a news source ~ which is exactly what I did when I have purchased this mag on the newsstand and made the mistake of selecting this doctor. In actuality, this feature is advertising and is paid for. I called headquarters and a contact to confirm that. So buyer beware re these 'testimonials.' My experience is very much not a good one with this doctor. I have come to know one woman whose life has been almost traumatized as a result of his work. And I finally have gotten publisher info and am contacting her directly with correspondence about this disingenuous page for Dr. Konstantin Vasyukevich.
