Yet another reason, among oh so many vain and health-related ones, to not be overweight-your breath.
A study conducted by researchers at Tel Aviv University found that those who are overweight have worse breath than those who are slim. The researchers took breath samples from 88 people with different types and weights and found that overweight participants tipped the bad-breath scale, with more odor in their mouths than their slimmer counterparts.
Coincidence? Researchers aren’t sure. While no scientific evidence to date can explain the correlation, the study suggests that diet choices of those who are overweight may be to blame. Scientists also question if the lack of care for their bodies carries over into a lack of care for their mouths.
Sugar-free gum anyone?
