We’ve heard the claim before: incorporate grapefruit into your diet and reap the benefits. The tangy fruit has made headlines again. This time with the claim: “Eat one grapefruit every day. Feel great, look great and notice the difference.” Hm.
A study commissioned by the South Africa Citrus Growers Association (CGA), asked a panel of 65 British women to eat one grapefruit a day for two weeks and report back on how it made them look and feel. According to the results more than half of the women lost weight during the two-week period. Of the women who participated, 72.3 percent reported that the condition of their hair improved and 81.6 percent found that their skin improved.
