Where Have All The Bubbles Gone?

It’s getting more difficult to find a traditional bubble bath these days, and for good reason.

Studies have found that sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate-ingredients often added to products like bubble baths and shampoos to create a rich lather and suds-can cause skin irritations and possible long-term tissue damage, both externally and internally.

Instead, many of today’s bath products feature essential oils, which are easily absorbed by the skin and offer added aromatherapy benefits. If you still want that foamy feel, look for ingredients like soapbark and yucca, herbal extracts that create a lather without sulfates.
