Timing is tricky when it comes to any cosmetic surgery procedure. You don’t want to start when you’re too young or it’s likely you could end up with the dreaded “cookie-cutter face.” But many also want to start as early as possible to prevent the signs of aging from showing up.

With facelifts being one of the top five plastic surgery procedures performed in 2011, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, more and more people are open to the procedure. And why not? It turns out that people were able to shave off about five to nine years from their true age with a facelift in combination with other procedures.
