Liposuction is a proven way to get rid of unwanted fat bulges when diet and exercise just don’t work. But as with any surgery, there’s always a chance that it won’t produce perfect results.
If contour irregularities, asymmetry, lumps, bumps or rippling occur, you may need a revision procedure. Fat can be grafted into deficient areas, or, if the body is disproportionate, more fat may be suctioned out.
Results can look better after a revision, but probably not as good as if the original procedure went well. This is because of the presence of scar tissue and fewer fat cells, which make the procedure harder to perform.
