You’ve heard the advice: If you want to stick to your workout routine, find something you like to do. Thing is: Working out and losing weight is just no fun and usually involves lots of sweat, grunting and next-day soreness. The program planners at Quebec’s Spa Eastman have decided to get rid of the “no pain, no gain” mentality with a weeklong weight loss and fun program that is more focused on having a good time than inflicting punishment.
The spa, with its hiking trails and gardens, is ideal for nature lovers who will meet with a naturopathic health coach to determine their goals and how to achieve them. The fitness aspect focuses on playful movement geared at increasing energy, such as fitness classes and aquafitness in thermal baths.
The program is scheduled for October 21 through 28. If you can’t make that, Spa Eastman has scheduled two more dedicated weeks: January 6 to 13 and April 7 through 14. Complete the experience with a Watsu warm-water massage and a Duet Maple Sugar Body Polish. We’ll meet you there!
