To rehab your hair for spring, Washington D.C., dermatologist Rebecca Kazin, MD, says you have to eliminate all traces of dehydration and distress from your hair to really bring it back to life. Here are her best tips:
Reconsider Those Highlights
“It’s tempting to go lighter come spring, but resist going more than two shades lighter than your natural color to spare major hair damage,” says Dr. Kazin. “Chemically treated hair is more sensitive and therefore more prone to moisture loss.” To add moisture back into your hair, try a good leave-in treatment.
