Warm Weather Body Breakouts

If you find your chest, back or maybe even your buttocks experience breakouts when the weather gets warmer, the culprit may not be acne in the traditional sense, but rather a combination of perspiration, heat and friction caused by tight clothing that doesn’t allow your skin to breathe.

When treating this kind of body breakout, don’t try to dry up these blemishes as you would a pimple on your face. Rather, cleanse and exfoliate the skin without friction, using glycolic acid or enzyme-based products.

You should also apply noncomedogenic, exfoliating moisture, like a body lotion with AHAs or alpha lipoic acid.

Finally, to prevent further breakouts, stick to loose-fitting cotton, linen or moisture-wicking fabrics whenever possible.
