What Really Happens on a Juice Cleanse Diet

Mention juice cleanses and you're bound to strike up a debate. That's because they're one of the most controversial diet methods out there. In this episode of #BeautyExperienced, NewBeauty editors Anna and Susan investigate both sides of the argument and even give juice cleansing a try. First, Anna learns how to make a juice cleanse at home with health coaches and certified nutritional consultants Lori Kenyon Farley and Marra St. Clair while Susan talks to Amanda Chantal Bacon, owner of Moon Juice in Los Angeles, to talk about other ways to cleanse. Next, Anna tries a three-day juice cleanse from Z.E.N. Foods. Finally, they talk to Derek Johnson, executive nutrition director at the Biggest Loser Resorts, about what juice cleanses really do to the body. Watch what happens!

    I juice every day and have for years. it's a lifestyle change, that is for sure. but like the guy at the end said, i also incorporate real, whole foods and have eliminated: wheat, dairy, meat, sugar and alcohol (i still like my morning coffee). i've never felt better, my skin is much clearer and my hair is silkier. oh, i also eat a forkful of live sauerkraut each morning, too (if's full of probiotics!).

    Great, informative video. I love the collaboration between Anna ans Susan! I was just speaking with my husband about a juice cleanse....maybe I'll day a 2 day instead of 3 day.....just to get my body in motion of healthy eating!
