The highly anticipated annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place in Shanghai last night—it was taped and will air in the U.S. on November 28 at 10 p.m. on CBS—where more than 50 models walked the runway in their signature wings and sexy lingerie. Although the show was created to showcase fashion, we were totally zeroed in on the beauty, from the beachy waves and glowy skin to the nail color and everything in between.
One part of the look we really loved was the lip color that was selected for this year’s show, which flattered every model, no matter their hair color or skin tone. Lead makeup artist, Tom Pecheux, used Victoria’s Secret Velvet Matte Cream Lip Stain ($14) in Adored (a natural-but-better rosy beige) as the base color, and then he layered a second shade on top—Perfection (a dusty rose) or Love (a rosy mauve)—depending on each model’s lip color.

“Velvet Lip Matte Cream Lip Stain in Adored is the perfect base for lips; simply dab onto the lips to enhance a pink natural lip color,” says Pecheux. To mimic the models’ overall look from the show, pair the subtle lip with a brown and taupe smoky eye and add highlighter to the inner corners of the eye for a “sexy, glowing effect.”
