As far as beauty buffs are concerned, 2019 was the year of Augustinus Bader. The royal blue bottles—each essentially guaranteeing transformed skin by the time you reach the last pump—not only graced the medicine cabinets of virtually every beauty editor in existence, but also made themselves at home within the makeup bags of A-list celebs such as Kate Bosworth, Naomi Campbell and, of course, Victoria Beckham.
Another launch that equally rocked the industry: Victoria Beckham’s debut makeup line, which came with the promise of only including “cleanly formulated, high performance beauty solutions.” So it only makes sense for the Spice Girl to introduce her first skin-care product in collaboration with none other than Mr. Bader—and his must-have actives.

Named the Cell Rejuvenating Primer Moisturizer (starting at $95), the makeup-meets-skincare hybrid works instantly to boost radiance—it’s not shimmery, but there’s definitely a healthy gleam left behind—and over time to repair and renew skin, thanks to the same TFC8 technology found in all Augustinus Bader products. As to be expected, the product feels—and looks—expensive, complete with Beckham’s signature tortoise-shell finish on the cap.
Designed to be worn alone or under makeup, the priming moisturizer delivers “that fresh, natural glow that I love,” Beckham says of the launch. “It’s the first priming moisturizer of its kind to care for your skin cells while also preparing your skin for makeup application,” adds Bader.
After how my skin looks after a single application, I’m calling it: This is the best collab of 2019.
