My standards for a good body scrub are, admittedly, not very high. If it smells good, has some sort of mechanism in it that I can actually feel “scrubbing” and doesn’t leave the much-dreaded oil ring in my bathtub, I’m on board with it.
But that’s the thing about standards—once you try something that blows them out of the water, it’s kind of hard to go back to your old ways of thinking. Valmont’s Cellular Refining Scrub ($165) is that very definitive divider in the road for me.

It’s not greasy, but its rose oil– and fatty acid–rich formula imparts the slightest sheen (it works particularly well on legs) that feels like silk to the touch. And the scent is divine. It says rose on the packaging, but it’s just about the freshest, cleanest floral fragrance you can imagine. It’s seriously so luxurious, you’ll want to keep tubs of it by your desk for a mini midday spa experience.
