I oooh and ahhh at expensive products just like every other beauty editor, but I’m a pretty frugal person. So when I saw a display at Walgreens featuring a wide range of prettily-packaged one-use masks for just $2.50, I did more than just oooh and ahhh-I purchased.
Of all of The Face Shop Essential Mask Sheets, I went with Pearl, which promises clearer, brighter skin. It does the job with calcium-rich pearl, as you may have guessed, as well as white birch, pear, algae, grapefruit and other botanical extracts from as far away as Asia.
If you don’t want to alarm your mate or pets, I recommend wearing this super-saturated cloth mask-featuring holes for your eyes, nose and mouth-when you have some alone time (a lesson I learned rather quickly). You’re supposed to keep it on for about 15 or 20 minutes, which I found easy due to its pleasant scent (the only thing that didn’t scare my boyfriend). As I let its fluid sink in, I knew that my skin would feel very hydrated when it was time to take it off, and I was right.
In addition to more moisture, it provided outstanding softness. And, as promised, my skin looked glowy and my blemishes looked less apparent.
It’s definitely worth stocking up on Face Shop Mask Sheets, just to have in the bathroom when you need a complexion boost before an event, an interview, or just when your skin is looking duller than usual. A dozen cost less than some other masks and spa facials, so how can you go wrong?
