At 5 feet 2 inches, I never felt overweight but knew I could afford to lose five to 10 pounds. When I started to feel uncomfortable in my clothes, I knew I needed to do something to take the weight off. Watching what I ate wasn’t enough.
To get in shape, I signed up for the FlyBarre Challenge. I took four barre classes per week over six weeks. The body-sculpting classes consist of light weight training, and toning, core strengthening and lengthening exercises. Fast-paced interval training reshapes the muscles so that they become long and lean.
Each FlyBarre class left me feeling strong, energetic, and totally rejuvinated. I quickly noticed a change in my body – in total, I lost 11.5 inches in six weeks. The best part was that I slept better, made healthier choices when deciding on what to eat and finally was excited about working out. Seeing results so fast motivated me to power through and completely change my body.
Diet Tips to Follow:
Cut Out Sugar: Eliminating sugar made me feel more alert and active. However, I did eat fruits and vegetables, which contain natural sugar.
Drink As Much Water As Possible: Instead of drinking juices or teas, I opted for water. I believe it also helped with
the cellulite on my thighs.
Eat Low-Carb: Being a vegetarian made it difficult to give up carbs. I only ate foods with five sugar carbs or less, which took away the bloated feeling I often got.
Eliminate Dairy: I never thought I could give up cheese, but cutting out dairy helped me reduce my sugar and calorie intake.
