The Ultimate Butt and Your Budget

Bigger, rounder, firmer, tighter or even more lifted—despite what you wish to change about your backend, a better butt can be had. “While boosting the size or shape of the butt is not for everyone, it is one of the fastest growing and most in demand procedures because of the dramatic difference made,” Los Angeles plastic surgeon Daniel Yamini, MD explains.

Inside Tip: Pricing structures vary depending on where your plastic surgeon is located but grouping two procedures together, like liposuction and Brazilian butt lift, can give you the most for your money.

Working with your budget: When it comes to picking the surgeries you want to perfect your body, most of us have to select the one, or maybe two, features that bother us most—few can go to the plastic surgeon with a blank check and demand a complete overhaul. If your wish list includes several different procedures, look to these tips.

  1. Prioritize your options. We all have our problem areas but undergoing too many surgeries at once can hinder your ability to heal properly. Talk with your plastic surgeon about creating an “order of importance” list—you may be surprised at which procedures he or she recommends having done first. “Prioritizing surgeries is always important and budget should always be taken into consideration,” says Pittsburgh plastic surgeon Dennis Hurwitz, MD.
  2. If your desired results are slight improvement opt for less invasive or nonsurgical treatments when necessary. If you’re not quite ready for a tummy tuck but want to tighten up the skin on your stomach, try out a skin tightener. “It won’t give the same exact result but it may be able to hold you over until you can afford to do surgery. And, the cost is much less,” says Miami Beach, FL, plastic surgeon Leonard Tachmes, MD.
  3. If possible, combine two procedures into one. “If you do more than one procedure at a time, you’ll save on operating and anesthesia costs, which can be quite a savings,” says Dr. Dennis Hurwitz.
  4. Consider financing options and payment plans. Some plastic surgeons offer payment plans and financing options like Care Credit. “Most surgeons offer a percentage discount if multiple procedures are scheduled for the same surgical session. But, just because surgeries can be compounded together does not always mean that they should be done at the same time,” says Newport Beach, CA, plastic surgeon Malcolm Paul, MD. Always consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon experienced in performing more than one procedure at a time to make sure you are in safe and reliable hands. Don’t shop for bargains for your surgery.

“Dollar for dollar, liposuction probably gives the most dramatic results because it enhances curves and gives better proportion.” – Dr. Daniel Yamini.
