Q: How can I tell if I need a breast lift, a breast lift and breast implants or just breast implants? Is there an easy formula?
What our experts say:
You can simulate a lift by elevating your breasts or nipple areola and see if it feels like it's the appropriate amount of volume that you want to have. And once you see if that's an appropriate decision, if you don't feel it's enough volume, then an implant will be required. In some patients who may be deflated but don't need a lift all they need is an implant to help give them the shape and perk up their breasts. Other patients may have been deflated but also the nipple and areola are too low relative to the fold in the crease then they need a lift in conjunction with the implant.
