Q: What is the swelling and recovery like on butt augmentation surgery?
What our experts say:
It depends, it's a moderate amount of swelling, not necessarily too much discomfort. The important thing is to be off of the buttocks for several weeks following the procedure to allow for the healing, and if it was done with fat grafting you want the incorporation of the fatty tissues for the transfer fat cells to develop a new blood supply and be incorporated into the body. With an implant you'll want to be off of your buttocks so you allow for healing so the area doesn't develop any seromas or blood collections around the implant.
