Let’s Just Get to the Point:
Pores. We all have them, but some of us are cursed with larger ones than others, leaving us with riddled complexions and unnecessary amounts of picking, squeezing and clay mask hoarding. But when we’ve done everything we can to de-clog our pores and they still stick out like a sore thumb, a good primer can swoop in and save the day, giving us smoother skin with a porcelain-like finish. And when it’s in stick form, like Touch in Sol’s new No Poreblem Priming Eraser ($14), it’s even better.

If You Want to Know More:
One memory that’s stuck with me since childhood is a field trip I took with my Girl Scout troop to the mall, during which we visited the Clinique counter to experience a mini consultation and learn about skin care. I wasn’t even 10 years old, and after a quick assessment of my face, I was told I had large pores, which I didn’t even understand at the time, although I felt embarrassed in front of the group nonetheless.
Fast-forward to my 30s, and lo and behold, I’m still obsessing over those annoying dots on my face and I’m always on the lookout for products to make them “appear” smaller because I’ve learned that you can’t actually shrink them (ugh). One such product, this new “pore eraser” of sorts, recently captured my attention and there’s been no going back. It lets you apply or “draw” the primer on just the areas you need it. For me, it’s around the sides of my nose.
It’s the size of a pen, so you can take it literally anywhere, and it instantly and effectively blurs your pores without having to use your fingers. Plus, there’s a tiny blending sponge on the other end if you want to smooth out a fine line or wrinkle, etc—it’s not just for pores.
Aside from making pores practically disappear, the primer is also formulated with a bunch of good-for-your-skin ingredients that allow you to benefit your complexion rather than just cover it up. Jojoba seed oil helps moisturize while calming inflammation; green tea extract delivers free radical–fighting antioxidants; soluble collagen contributes to a plumping effect; and hyaluronic acid hydrates.
This is one on-the-go essential you’ll wonder how you ever lived without before!
