While women are fast to discuss beauty secrets and tips, facial hair is often left out of the conversation. So let’s be real-we wax and thread repeatedly, and many of us turn to laser hair removal for a more permanent solution. But you might be surprised to learn that laser hair removal is not effective on those with white, blonde, red or grey strands or on those with dark skin.

A new technology named Applisonix is proving to be effective for blonde hair-removal. Developed in Israel, the treatment uses ultrasound waves that damage hair follicles so the hair cannot regrow. But the best part is, patients overseas say it’s pain-free.

Applisonix hasn’t made its way to the United States yet, and we don’t have a timeline on when it will be available. But we’re excited about the prospect of permanent hair-removal that works on all skin tones, hair colors and body areas. Stay tuned for updates as we learn more.
