So what makes this $23 tube of magic so great? If you hold wand-shape to a high standard, you may say it’s the hourglass-shaped brush, which was designed with extra stiff bristles. If you tend to be a formula fan, you might lean more toward the paraben-free intensely black, carbon-infused mix that’s inside.
I wear the mascara pretty much every day and it really does deliver super voluminous, totally buildable lashes that are almost guaranteed to get someone asking “did you get extensions?” It doesn’t smudge, it curls, it coats—think Twiggy-like lashes with more separation—and it provides some show-stopping shade that seems to be darker than black. There’s also a waterproof version (that one is in the mint-green tube).
But Too Faced’s official “what it does” description really gets down to it: “One coat and lashes are full and defined. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled, and dramatic. Three coats help you achieve the most intense, black, multidimensional lashes possible.”
