Thirst Aid For Your Hair

Thirst Aid For Your Hair featured image

As a scuba instructor, I spend a lot of time in salty and chlorinated water, and it takes its toll on my hair. Add to that monthly coloring, and sometimes I feel I’ve got something from Costume World on my head. Conditioning simply has to be a part of my regular hair-care regimen. I’ve tried lots of different conditioners, but I never really felt the rinse-out kinds could provide enough moisture when they’re on my hair for only a minute or two.

I keep coming back to The Conditioner from Paul Mitchell. The number-one reason? It’s a leave-in. The Conditioner is such a smooth operator that you can even use it on your skin and for shaving.

Although The Conditioner contains a bunch of different plant extracts, the key ingredient is glycerin. It’s not exotic, but it is highly hygroscopic, which means it absorbs water from the air. This hygroscopic quality helps attract moisture to your hair, improves the texture and reduces static. It’s definitely made a difference on my mane.
