I’m always hesitant to spend $50 on a product that I’ve never tried before. Samples are a girls best friend, but the truth is that I was in a bind. At the time, my job required that I travel a great deal. One week, I could be in a climate of sun and humidity, and the next week, I could be in a climate of cold air and extreme dryness. My entire skin care regimen was thrown out of whack. Not a great place to be, especially when you’re trying to impress your business clientele.
On a whim, I turned to Clinique Repairwear Intensive Night Cream to address my nighttime moisturizer needs. I’ve tried Clinique products in the past and have been generally pleased with their performance. I have a certain appreciation for their typically clean scent. It’s light and not overpowering; a positive for those of us who are sensitive to strong scents.
It’s a small jar (1.7 ounces), but make no mistake-this small jar packs a lot of punch and just a little of the off-white/thick cream goes a long way. It didn’t leave any sort of residue on my skin and as it dried (which is very quickly), it didn’t feel sticky or greasy. Also, for those of you with sensitive skin, you’ll be happy to know that I didn’t experience any stinging or other ill-effects.
Did I notice a difference? Absolutely. When I woke up in the morning, my face didn’t look red or dry nor did it feel that way. In fact, my skin felt sealed in a non-greasy, moisturized way. When I touched my skin, it felt cushiony, like I had infused my face with lots of love and relaxation. The chance I took on this product paid off. As I continued my trek around the world, I always looked forward to my night time routine.
