Blake Lively is one of those actresses who just always looks good. Even though she’s currently pregnant with her second child, no one can rock a minidress and heels quite like she can.
After giving birth to her daughter, Blake had to haul it into high gear and drop her post-baby weight as she started filming The Shallows, the thriller movie where she wears a bikini throughout. Yep, two hours of Blake’s perfect body in nothing more than a skimpy two-piece.

The Wave State nutritionist Steve Macari, who went on the record with multiple media outlets, got Blake into her best shape ever by having her stick to a strict 80/20 diet program that stretched over several months. She also enlisted the help of trainer Don Saladino, too.
Macari made sure that Blake ate only the highest-quality foods. “This means that all fruit and vegetables were organic, fish was wild, eggs were free-range and meats were pasture-raised. This type of food ensures that you are getting the maximum amount of nutrients and the least amount of toxic residue from synthetic chemicals,” Macari says. He also made sure that she never skipped breakfast, which often consisted of eggs cooked in coconut oil served alongside vegetables or fruit, to help stabilize her blood sugar and fuel her morning workouts. Post-workout meals consisted of rice, potatoes or fruit.
“Following a strict and rigid program can be very stressful, and stress of any kind can lead to hormonal imbalances, which work against a slim body,” says Macari. “Following the 80/20 rule, meaning you stick with the program for 80 percent of the time and have the ability to cheat 20 percent of the time, can break things up and keep it fun. Things like pizza and pasta were what she’d occasionally reach for during the 20 percent.”
