Our CT scan showed an abnormality on a patient, who had what looked perfect in the normal X-ray. Then, by turning the tooth around in the 3-D software we saw where the cause of the pain was, which allowed us to do corrective surgery.” In addition, 3-D imaging software is also helping to guide dentists to more accurately place implants, which improves the patient’s overall aesthetic result.
