Philosophy

Patients who are looking for a younger, more well-rested version of themselves fly in from around the world to visit dual board-certified facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Andrew Jacono, who takes a customized approach to facial rejuvenation. “I perform many types of facelifts that result in natural, long-lasting outcomes and choose the one that best suits your goals and facial structure. I’ve developed techniques that help lift and tighten with minimal incisions and downtime. To facilitate faster healing, I created J Pak SystemsTM holistic caplets that combine homeopathic ingredients with nutritional supplements.” In addition to makeovers, 20 percent of Dr. Jacono’s practice focuses on complex reconstructive and revision facial surgeries. As an expert in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Jacono has been featured on Good Morning America and in Harper’s Bazaar and Town & Country, among many additional media outlets.

FAQs

  1. What is a nonsurgical nose job?
    What our experts say:

It’s a misnomer because it’s not really a nose job.  It’s used if you have bump on your bridge.  We put some filler above the bump so it camouflages it.  It doesn’t make big noses smaller, but makes bumps appears less noticeable.

  2. How are cheek and chin implants inserted?
    What our experts say:

Most can be inserted internally, inside the mouth, so they can’t be seen.

  3. What is a mini/multi-planar facelift?
    What our experts say:

A mini facelift can tighten the jowl and neck areas and require a smaller incision than a full facelift.  It doesn’t involve as much lifting of the face and is used on people who are not as droopy, usually patients who are in their 40s to mid-50s. There is a quicker recovery with less scarring.

  4. What is a weekend facelift?
    What our experts say:

A weekend facelift uses different procedures to give the appearance of lifted face with no significant downtime, but it’s not an actual facelift. We can use liposuction to contour the face including the neck line and jaw area or we can use laser treatments. Sometimes we use injectables like Radiesse or Sculptra, or chin and cheek implants. It’s not really a specific operation, but we perform less-invasive procedures to make patients look tighter and more rejuvenated.

  5. What is a deep plane face lift?
    What our experts say:

It’s an operation that lifts all the muscles of the face, but doesn’t dissect the skin from the face. It just goes under the muscles of the face. The results are much more powerful and provide a more natural result. It lasts longer because we are rebuilding the muscles of the face, not stretching the skin which gives that stretched look.  There is also less recovery because all the swelling and bruising under the surface of the skin, so patients heal faster.  It can be performed at any age, it depends on what your goals are, but here are not that many doctors that do it—probably less than five percent.
