Why we like it: Chock-full of flavor and consistency and super healthy—you actually feel good eating this food—we loved that the breakfasts were filling enough to keep us satiated until lunch. While the meals tend to get lighter throughout the day, every salad we had was fresh, refreshing, jam-packed with color and incredibly tasty. But, it’s the freshness factor that reeled us in, almost like someone just went into their garden and handpicked all the ingredients.

Why we like it: Perfect for lunch and dinner, these hearty meals feel healthy and taste good. Full of flavor, Veestro nailed it by packaging the sauces for each dish separately so that the food stays fresh and never gets soggy. Why we like it: Hands down, this was one of our favorite diets of the bunch. Everything tested, from the egg breakfasts to the beef and garlic broccoli lunch, was on par with a meal you would experience at a trendy healthy food restaurant—and the dinners didn’t disappoint, either. Another plus: the nutritional information is printed on an easy-to-read label so you always know what’s in the food you’re about to eat. Why we like it: Some delivery diets can be bland and boring, but not this one. If you’re more of an adventurous eater—think spices and Moroccan food—you’ll like this one. Natural, organic and vegan, we liked that a lot of the meals were made with almond flour, lentils, quinoa and the like so that you actually stay full.

Why we like it: With generously sized portions that aren’t too big, these meals definitely fill you up so you aren’t left hungry afterward and still craving something else to eat. The breakfast items, like the pancakes, are heavy enough to leave you wanting to skip the next meal, but the variety of choices (you get to actually choose which meals you want delivered) is a major bonus.

Why we like it: Indie Fresh could be one of the freshest delivery diets we’ve tasted. With three different programs to choose from and a slew of other options on the menu that can be ordered individually–think soups and broths, salads, meatballs, mashes and burgers–there wasn’t a single item that we didn’t like. You can still eat healthy without feeling like you’re depriving yourself of meat or any of the good stuff.
