Regardless of the size, color or age of your regretted or no-longer-relevant tattoo, you’ll need more than one treatment to fully remove it.
Several sessions, usually spaced four to six weeks apart, are recommended to protect the skin from potential damage and scarring. The number of sessions necessary depends on the type and amount of pigment, and how many colors the tattoo contains. Newer tattoos can take longer to get rid of since they haven’t lost pigment over time.
Keep in mind, tattoos that were revised to hide an unwanted original design may take longer to remove because of the exceptionally high volume of pigment particles.
