I’m not usually one to try new skin-care products while traveling. After all, the last thing I want is reactive skin when I’m miles from home. But Tara Walker’s Dream skin-care line guarantees soothing, and I took an interest in the packaging. Each product comes in small tins that contain five sealed tubes filled with each formula to ensure that the products stay fresh and potent-so you’re only using what you need. Plus, each tube can be resealed for up to a month-so it seemed perfect for traveling.

But that’s not what I want to rave about. Instead, lets talk about the one product I’m truly obsessed with from the entire line. Rejuvenating Dream Serum +100 Concentrate ($99) contains 109 active botanical ingredients that work in unison to heal your skin, soothe it, hydrate it and stop signs of aging. Plus, every bit of it is organic and smells heavenly. I have to say, if I could only pick one skin care product to use for the rest of my life, it would probably be this one. It feels like oil as you apply it, but absorbs quickly and smells so light and fresh that you want to bathe in it. In fact, if the packet were larger, I probably would slather myself with it from head-to-toe (here’s to hoping that a body line is in the works). It makes my skin feel radiant, and truly, like I don’t need to use anything else.

Now lets talk about the rest of the line. Dream Cleansing Balm ($45) actually contains a portion of the serum, so naturally I liked it-it starts off as a light gel in your hand, but turns to a milky liquid when you add water. It removes all of my makeup and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed. After the first use, my skin felt so good, I didn’t really need to use the next product, or the product after that, but did simply to continue on the aromatic journey.

Regenerating Dream Night Crème ($79) combines botanical and marine ingredients like green microalgae (which minimizes the look of blood vessels) with beta glucan and chitin to hydrate skin. It absorbs quickly and when I wake up in the morning, my skin feels supple without an annoying film over it.

Radiance Enhancing Dream Crème ($69) contains anti-inflammatory ingredients like sea mayweed, an antioxidant-rich seaside plant that reduces sensitivity and redness in skin, with maca root from the Peruvian Andes to reduce wrinkles and make skin look more radiant overall. There’s also a blend of ingredients that help calm the skin and even out skin tone. Perfecting Day Crème ($69) on the other hand, locks in moisture and fights free radicals.

Dream Eye Serum ($45) feels like a gel and uses 100 percent organic living lemon water that supposedly contains more trace elements and minerals than regular water found in most eye creams (or any cream at that). It reduces puffiness and smooths skin around the eyes to lessen the appearance of bags and crow’s-feet.

If you didn’t pick up on it before-I highly recommend the serum. It’s a must-have product for any skin care fanatic, whether you’re interested in organic products or not. As for the packaging: it does make traveling with your full skin-care set easier, but I would prefer full-size bottles to keep in my bathroom. Either way, I’ll endure small packets to get to the serum and just hope it’s eventually available in a larger, beautiful bottle some day.
