Vitamin C is considered a “super-vitamin” that plays a role in immunity and preventing infection. In order to reap its potential antibacterial benefits that may be able to prevent breakouts, it’s recommended that you take 1,000 to 1,600 mg three times a day. Keep in mind, a combination of anti-inflammatory supplements like vitamin E, zinc and burdock root, along with vitamin C, tend to be more effective than just vitamin C alone.
