It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Supersmile. Ever since I started using their products more than three years ago, I haven’t had a single cavity, and I’ve been told my teeth look whiter than ever, which is always a plus when you work in the beauty industry.
So, when I had the opportunity to try Series II LS45° Advanced Sonic Pulse Toothbrush, I was eager as can be to see if it measured up to the rest of the line. Not only did it not disappoint, it exceeded all my expectations. It is, by far, the lightest electronic toothbrush I’ve ever used, allowing for easy maneuvering and control while ensuring I couldn’t press too hard and irritate my sensitive gums.
It operates at more than 30,000 strokes per minute via patented sonic technology that targets the often-overlooked area where the teeth meet the gums. Effectively removing plaque and bacteria that could get in the way of a beautiful, healthy smile, the toothbrush also contains bristle tips that are angled precisely at 45 degrees, in accordance with the American Dental Association’s recommendation, to ensure proper cleaning, especially on and below the gum line.
My favorite part about the brush is the option of switching modes, enabling me to go back and forth between Clean, Gentle and Pulse, customizing my brushing experience. Every 30 seconds, the brush would indicate that it’s time to switch quadrants, which I found very helpful. After two minutes, it automatically turned off, indicating that I’d fulfilled my brushing needs.
Upon seeing cosmetic dentistry icon Dr. Smigel and his wife, Lucia, who is both president and CEO of Supersmile, at the 33rd annual American Society for Dental Aesthetics meeting recently, I had the pleasure of telling them both how much I enjoyed their new toothbrush. They were so thrilled to hear my rave reviews, they even gave a brush to my father, a periodontist, to try. Sure enough, he feels the same-and for good reason!
