Anyone who has dyed their hair from dark to light knows this process can take a toll on the hair’s health. So, we caught up with the actress to hear all about how she keeps her strands in tip-top shape as well as a few of her other beauty secrets. Read on!

NewBeauty: How do you keep your hair healthy after coloring it?

Sophie Turner: Once I’ve colored [my hair] I use the Invigo shampoos and conditioners as well as their amazing mask that I put on once a week. Once you’ve done [the mask] your hair is so strong, healthy, it feels amazing and it’s super shiny too.

NB: Which is the hero product from the Wella Invigo line?

ST: Well personally for me the hero product is the Blonde Recharge collection because I’m a blonde. After a certain amount of time of having your hair dyed blonde it can sometimes get a bit brassy and get a bit more yellow so this line is just something you put on to eliminate that brass and keep the hair looking exactly how it was when you first dyed it. Also the mask is my favorite thing of all time. If you put it on 10 minutes once a week, your hair will be so healthy.

NB: We noticed from your Instagram that you were just vacationing in Switzerland. What beauty products do you always travel with?

ST: Well especially when I’m going somewhere like Switzerland where it can get very dry, I use the Invigo Frizz Control Cream because my hair can get quite frizzy. And then for skin, all I need is just moisturizer because my skin gets so flaky and dehydrated. So I use La Mer moisturizer or the Boscia Cactus Water Moisturizer ($38) which is amazing. It always sells out at Sephora.

NB: Being an actress, you’re around so many beauty experts. Whats the best hair tip you’ve ever received?

ST: The best hair tip I’ve had is from Christian [Wood] my hair stylist and Wella celebrity ambassador. He always told me to sleep on silk pillows. You just brush out your hair before bed and you wake up with your hair looking the same as it was before you went to sleep. It’s never matted or messy.

NB: Do you foresee any other big hair changes coming your way?

ST: I think I want to go brunette next. I’m leaning towards brunette, but I love my blonde right now.  I want to stay blonde for maybe the rest of the year. But after that I’m willing to experiment.
