A variety of awards were given at last night’s Oscars, but in true NewBeauty fashion, it’s the beauty that really caught our attention—more specifically, the use of nude lip color along the red carpet. Here, the best nude lips seen last night and the exact lipsticks used to create them.

L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lip Liner in “Au Naturale” ($8.50) and L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss in “Bare Attraction” ($10)

To create this perfectly nude lip on Olivia Culpo, Sir John first applied L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lip Liner in “Au Naturale” all over the lip. Then he applied L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Matte Gloss in “Bare Attraction” right on top.

Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in “Sensual” ($28) and Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colour Balm in “Amaretto Swirl” ($26)

Because celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff wanted Priyanka Chopra’s lips to have a softness to them, she applied a blend of two nude hues from Laura Mercier: Velour Lovers Lip Colour in “Sensual” ($28) topped with Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colour Balm in “Amaretto Swirl” ($26).

For nude lips with a subtle pink sheen on Taraji P. Henson, makeup artist Ashunta Sheriff lined her pout with MAC Cosmetics Lip Pencil in “Cork” and used Surratt Beauty Lip Lustre in “Pompadou Pink.”

LORAC Alter Ego Matte Lipstick ($18) and Lip Gloss ($17) in “Supermodel” 

Celebrity makeup artist Mai Quynh achieved the perfect nude lip on Ginnifer Goodwin by combining two textures of the same hue. “I layered LORAC Alter Ego Matte Lipstick in ‘Supermodel’ and LORAC Alter Ego Lip Gloss in‘Supermodel.’” The result: a showstopping pout that’s matte with a subtle hint of shimmer.

Because Emily Ratajkowski’s eye shadow look was so intense, Hung Vanngo kept her lips natural to balance it out. He traced her lips with Marc Jacobs Beauty Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner in “Nude(ist) 300” and filled them in with Marc Jacobs Beauty Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in “No Angel 242,” an apricot-nude shade.
