CLEAN Blossom (2.14 oz, $72)

Type: Floral

Why we like it: Inspired by a natural spring scattered with freshly fallen petals (which is exactly what you can picture when you spritz it on), this eau de parfum is soft, elegant and perfect for springtime. When you wear it, you get hints of each individual floral note throughout the day—freesia, orange blossom and magnolia to name a few.

NEST Citrine (1.7 oz, $68)

Type: Citrus

Why we like it: As spring scents tend to focus on florals, it’s refreshing to see one that’s rooted in citrus, even if is entwined with flowers (in this case lemon blossom, lotus and freesia). This one has a crisp, fresh, addictive quality that makes it stand out. Let’s put it this way: If a bellini and mimosa had a baby in a bouquet of delicate flowers, this would be it (how can you go wrong?).

Bond No. 9 New York Madison Avenue (3.4 oz, $300; Available in April)

Type: Fresh Chypre

Why we like it: The latest addition to the brand’s highly coveted, New York-centric fragrance collection, this dynamic scent is named after one of the city’s most famed shopping destinations, Madison Avenue. Great for the girl on the go (particularly one who has shopping on her mind), this energizing fragrance packs a ton of character into its bottle—you pick up little hints of different notes (think citrusy-woody-mossy ones like apple, bergamot, roses, magnolia, patchouli and praline) every time you wear it.

3 / 9

Ralph Lauren Tender Romance (3.4 oz, $96; Available in April)

Type: Oriental Floral

Why we like it: The final scent in the Ralph Lauren Romance trilogy, this one is rich, creamy and romantic with a bit of sweetness. You can really smell the Oriental addition of the ginger, which lends a sultry effect, and the raw floral feature of the white magnolia. As it lingers on your skin, you get a cozy scent of cashmere and musk that adds warmth. Spray this one on the inside of your elbow so its front and center when you’re with your other half, especially if you’re planning to cozy up on the couch and watch a movie.

EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Pour Elle “Natural” (1.6 oz, $59)

Type: Fruity Floral

Why we like it: Properly named “Natural,” which is exactly how it smells, this light, sophisticated scent is perfect for warm-weather days. Designed to celebrate Lacoste’s iconic pleated skirt, the fragrance is inherently feminine and airy with uplifting notes of creamy coconut milk, pineapple and woody orris. It’s a scent you’ll want to wear every day and it just might become your new signature.

5 / 9

Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb La Vie En Rose (1.7 oz, $95)

Type: Oriental Floral

Why we like it: It’s uniquely sweet and spicy, and there’s something alluring about it that makes you want to keep smelling it. It’s fun, playful and sexy—you get big whiffs of pink pepper, grapefruit and patchouli that make you think of hot days and long nights. It’s the eighth anniversary of the brand’s limited-edition La Vie en Rose fragrance and this year’s edition is a winner.

6 / 9

Capri Vince Camuto (3.4 oz, $82)

Type: Fruity Floral

Why we like it: One spray of this fragrance and you’re whisked away to the Mediterranean on a never-ending vacation—the breeze is in your hair and the sun never sets. It’s bright, refreshing and full of florals like violet and zesty citrus scents. Plus, the bottle is so beautiful (its sea-glass inspired design is reminiscent of sparkling blue water), you’ll want to give it a prized spot on your vanity.

7 / 9

Dolce & Gabbana Rosa Excelsa (2.5 oz, $117)

Type: Floral

Why we like it: Not only is the frosted glass bottle the epitome of spring, but the scent is too. It’s undoubtedly rose, but not overpowering in the least bit, which you can sometimes get with rose-focused fragrances. Instead, it’s light (but it has good staying power), soft and über-feminine thanks to a blend of two different types of delicate roses: African dog rose and Turkish rose absolute.

8 / 9

Stella McCartney POP (3.3 oz, $92; Available April 7)

Type: Woody Floral

Why we like it: We fell in love with the “girl power” campaign before we even smelled the fragrance—it features four of Stella’s muses, including Canadian singer Claire Boucher (aka Grimes), model Kenya Kinski-Jones, actress Amandla Stenberg and Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon. The scent itself is bright and punchy—tuberose and plumeria stand out from the get go, but you get a hint of woodiness as it dries down on your skin. If you typically go for fruity-florals and you’re looking to change things up just a little bit, this is a good place to start.

9 / 9

Paco Rabanne Olympèa (2.7 oz, $96)

Type: Oriental Floral

Why we like it: Perfect for date night, this sweet scent is technically an “Oriental Floral,” but the Oriental notes don’t tend to come through as much. What we did smell though, is a lot of yummy vanilla, jasmine and sandalwood that give the scent an overtly sensual quality. Dab a little behind your ear and you’ll be sure to capture someone’s attention.
