The must-have shade: Vivid, rosy reds and pinks like Dior Vernis Couture Colour Gel Shine and Long Wear Nail Lacquer in Glory ($27) add a bright pop of color to your overall look, which you may need this spring (many of the season’s top fashions feature more muted hues). This formula is a new take on the popular gel effect with a techno-polymer that creates superlong staying power.

The must-have shade: A dark cornflower blue of sorts mixed with a hint of gray, Burberry Nail Polish in Stone Blue ($22) was designed with the British weather and landscape in mind, and pairs perfectly with the pastel pieces we saw on the runway. Plus, we got full-coverage color with just one coat.

Pastel Pink

The must-have shade: A soft ballet pink that’s all the rage this season from fashion to makeup, butter LONDON Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer in Pink Knickers ($18, available in April) is a new type of lacquer from the beloved brand, which features a 10-in-1 formula that combines salon-quality color with gel-like wear (it lasts up to 10 days).

Grassy Green

The must-have shade: Dolce & Gabbana The Nail Lacquer in Grass ($26), a limited-edition shade for spring, is a fun yet sophisticated take on green that mimics the unique color palette from the iconic fashion house’s spring/summer designs. We’re also a fan of the lacquer’s new brush—a rounded cut and more bristles that make for easier application.

Bright White

The must-have shade: Incredibly chic and on trend (we saw bright white nails on several spring NYFW runways from Misha Nonoo to Erin Fetherston), Julep Nail Color in Brigitte ($14) is the ultimate crisp white. And the bonus? It’s also multitasking—you can wear it alone or as a base coat to give a brightening boost to other colors.

Inside Tip: Add a thin gold stripe of polish (or a sticker) to the center of your nails, either vertically or horizontally, to bump the look up a notch.

Rose Gold

The must-have shade: If you’re going to add one go-to metallic to your nail collection for spring, look no further than Formula X Nail Color in Revved Up ($10.50), which adds a mega dose of glam to any look with high color saturation and just the right amount of shine thanks to the brand’s key ingredient, ShineXcel.

Bubblegum Pink

The must-have shade: Ultrafeminine and fun (we were inspired by Kate Spade’s spring collection, which featured big floral patterns with bright pops of pink), Smith & Cult Nailed Lacquer in City of Compton ($18) is reminiscent of the season’s most beautiful blooms and takes nails to a whole other level when paired with the black and white staples in your wardrobe.
