If Sleek MakeUP’s mantra “My Face. My Rules” doesn’t get you, its mix of influencer-created color and do-whatever-you-want attitude fused with throwback high fashion and major color payoff certainly will.
As will the price.
Coined “one of the fastest growing mass market cosmetic brands in the UK,” Sleek hits the U.S. Walgreens (Boots Walgreens Alliance, as in the people who own Duane Reade, Walgreens, Boots, Liz Earle, and a whole lot more, is its parent company) and Ulta this summer, with 152 high-performing lip, eye and face products—hello $6 blushes and eye liners!—there’s something for everyone.
First, there’s the Palettes ($13), mineral-based, highly pigmented multi-shadow selections that contain everything from the neutrals to the brights; the tiny take-it-anywhere Brow Kit ($12), which was smart enough to include a mini tweezer, in addition to its setting powder and shaping wax; and the Dip It Liquid Eyeliner ($7), a fluid, fine-tip formula that lets you make your moves before it sets down to a really nice matte finish.
Seriously, no matter what you choose, you can’t go wrong—quite literally, as the shade range really aims to satisfy everyone from the “palest to the deepest tones”—and the only thing that will have you pondering is why did it take the U.S. so long to get in on the game, as it’s already in 50 other countries!
