You remember it—the infamous shower scene. No, I’m not talking Psycho, I’m specifically referencing the racy commercial that had every woman and their grandmother running out to buy shampoo in the 90s. The “YES YES YES” campaign from Herbal Essences—which showcased women overwhelmed by intense pleasure while lathering up—that made the classic lie of, “I can’t tonight, I have to wash my hair,” totally true.

Well, the brand has re-launched the iconic Herbal Essences Smooth and Shine Collections ($4 each), gone back to their original packaging, brought on Nicole Scherzinger as a celebrity ambassador and is ready to induce botanical bliss in showers all across America. Because the formulas contain the cult-classic Herbal Essences fragrance, the brand has also done some interesting research in order to find out just how important good-smelling hair is.

In a poll, they found that 83 percent of single women and 62 percent of single men would rather go on a date with someone who smells great, but looks bad, then the opposite. Also, 58 percent of single Americans believe that a nice scent makes the best first hair impression on a date. They also found out other more random statistics about dating and hair. For instance, 42 percent of people use pickup lines…and those lines are most likely to work on blonds.

What do you think? What beauty products of the past do you wish would make a comeback?
