I’m pretty sure I have the longest hair of everyone in our offices. It’s not a contest or anything-I’m planning to donate most of it to Locks of Love later this year. But as it grows, it becomes a bigger challenge to care for, and I don’t expect it to get any easier before I lop it off and give it away.
My hair hasn’t had a brag-worthy response to anything I’ve tried in the last few months, so I finally stopped resisting the temptation to try the only made-for-long-hair products I’d heard about recently: Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Shampoo and Conditioner. I haven’t used Herbal Essences since college-maybe even high school-but my increasingly unruly hair and decreasingly flexible budget made this reminiscent purchase a must.
The duo is made with raspberry juice and silk, making them as strengthening as they are aromatic (the scent is almost embarrassingly mouthwatering). I found each formula’s respective weight and texture to be exactly what my thick, puff-prone hair calls for. Like I do every time I try a new shampoo and conditioner, I let my hair dry naturally without any other products, and I was genuinely pleased with how soft and effortlessly healthy-looking it turned out. I even got my first shininess compliment in months!
I won’t actually have a long-term relationship with Long Term Relationship, but until I donate my ponytail, I’m committed to this couple.
