It’s safe to say that Rita Ora stole the spotlight at the 2024 British Fashion Awards on Monday, December 2, with a look that was impossible to ignore. The 34-year-old singer rocked a bold oversized suit featuring mismatched gray tones, a striped shirt, a pink polka-dot tie and layers of statement jewelry. But her daring fashion choices weren’t the only thing turning heads; her show-stopping mullet took center stage. The edgy hairstyle featured spiky, bleach-blonde strands on top, which cascaded into dark brown curls starting at the nape of her neck. Oh, and let’s not forget her matching bleached brows—because why not?

The mastermind behind the hair transformation was celebrity hairstylist Rio Sreedharan, who frequently collaborates with the “Let You Love Me” hitmaker and has also worked his magic on Saweetie, Dua Lipa and Sabrina Carpenter (talk about a stacked résumé), among others. We’re eager for more details on the look—like the products behind that sky-high spikiness, the inspiration behind the hairstyle and, while we’re at it, the designer of those silver spiral earrings. Sreedharan hasn’t posted a photo of the look to his Instagram grid just yet, but we’re keeping our eyes peeled for when he does—promise.

While it’s still unclear whether the mullet was a wig or Ora’s real hair, we’d give a standing ovation if it turned out to be the latter. Either way, it’s a look we won’t forget anytime soon. See it for yourself below.
