Reports From The Great Mascara Hunt

I find that there are two kinds of women. One that is constantly trying to find the perfect mascara and one that will only use one particular mascara because they think they found it. I definitely fall into the former. If I’m not happy with the way my lashes look, I’m just plain not happy.

There are so many great mascaras on the market right now. They promise to extend, thicken or separate but, what if you want it all? For instance, my niece, who I am not-very-secretly jealous of because she has the most amazing lashes in the world, recently revealed her beauty secret to me. She used a thickening mascara with a brush that’s thin. Then, she uses another dry mascara brush that is really full to comb it through so that is doesn’t clump. Although the results are gorgeous, that’s a lot of work.

It did make me think. I have probably owned every single kind of mascara wand out there-straight, curved, skinny and fat. I’ve never been 100 percent happy. I’ve come close but there’s always something missing. If I get fullness, they don’t separate. If they are separated, they don’t look thick enough! Lucky for all of us Stila has the answer!

The fine folks over at Stila have invented Convertible Mascara. It is one mascara tube with two brushes. One itty bity fine toothed brush for getting right down to the lash line and separating and one larger fuller one for brushing out the crème and making your lashes thicken and look full. It took a little getting used to, but once I did, I was happy I tried it. The result is that you get to fulfill your every lash wish and desire! My Mascara hunt may have finally ended.
