Many people get tattoos to preserve something close to their hearts. But for certain breast cancer survivors, their tattoos may represent something they would rather not remember-especially with such permanence.
It’s common for radiation therapists to mark patients with tattoos to better target the treatment area. Alma Lasers, the company behind the lasers most commonly used for tattoo removal, is offering a free radiation tattoo removal for breast cancer survivors all month long in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
“What better way to express our admiration for breast cancer survivors than to provide resources within the community to allow survivors to declare their freedom,” said Ziv Karni, President and CEO. “For the second year, we chose to support the many strong and brave women who have battled breast cancer as we enjoy being part of the solution.” Alma Lasers will help breast cancer survivors find a local qualified provider offering laser tattoo removal, free of charge, under the condition that their treatment has been successfully completed and their oncologist approves.
“Alma Lasers is proud to support breast cancer survivors during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month as this deadly disease affects so many of us either directly or indirectly,” said Avi Farbstein, General Manager of North American Operations. Find out more here.
