We’re living in a celebrity-obsessed world. Thanks to the media, it seems that we know everything about them, from where they shop all the way to their shoe size. But perhaps one of the main things that the media tends to focus on is their weight—particularly after a celeb has had a baby.
Heidi Klum shocked the world when she returned to the runway a mere six weeks after giving birth. Beyoncé proved that she’s still got her bootylicious body after having Blue Ivy. And most recently, the media spotlight has been focused on Jessica Simpson.
The new mom to daughter Maxwell Drew, who recently debuted her post-baby body on Katie Couric’s new talk show, reportedly gained 70 pounds during her pregnancy. But the songstress quickly learned that the weight gain doesn’t come off after delivery, “My doctors were telling me it was a lot of water weight and I thought, whenever my water broke I would just lose all the weight…my stomach would go down.”
Luckily, Simpson is on track and only 10 pounds away from her goal thanks to Weight Watchers. You can watch her new commercial here.
