There’s something really fun about solid perfume. Some of us here at NewBeauty had made-for-kids versions of the stuff when we were little, but the grown-up versions we’ve since found just haven’t been as cute. Sure, cuteness isn’t exactly the most important characteristic of a fragrance, but we’re suckers for packaging. Anyway, we’re pleased to announce that the search is over. We’ve found the most darling line of solid perfumes from France.
Crazylibellule & The Poppies, though an appropriate name for an indie band, is the title of Sephora-founder Isabelle Masson-Mandonnaud‘s range of playfully elegant twist-up scents. The collection includes Ananaz Imperial (fruity with woodsy undertones), Blue Orchidee (various versions of orange, supported by floral and vanilla notes), Encens Mystic (a hazy combination of clove, myrrh and other earthy aspects), Ginger and Coconut (helped along by cinnamon, curry, and heavier notes), Lilas Spiritual (a medley of lilac and lily), Litchi Blossom (fruit and flowers rounded out with mint), and Musc and Patchouli (softened by lily and bergamot).
If the insanely creative scent layers don’t inspire you, the boxes will.
