The International Cannes Film Festival always brings a bevy of star style to this small town on the French Riviera. Gorgeous gowns, fabulous hairstyles and elegant makeup looks parade down the red carpet for numerous film premieres and this year should be no different. While many might be interested to see who wears what couture design, we always love to find out how the stars prep their skin for the big event, because in our books, no makeup, dress or shoes can outshine a flawless complexion.

The ultra luxe Swiss skin-care house Valmont knows how important gorgeous skin is too. That’s why for the third year in a row they are offering the A-list celebrities, directors and producers anti-aging beauty treatments through an exclusive pop-up spa at the Carlton Hotel. The aptly named “Le SPA des Stars” helps guests prepare for the flashing bulbs of the paparazzi by revitalizing and refreshing their skin. The popular “Vitality of the Glaciers” facial being offered is designed to stimulate the skin’s cell renewal through molecular based technology and glacial spring water. It also promotes lymphatic drainage through a sequence of facial massages and fluttering butterfly movements on the surface of the skin to de-puff the face.

Along with the pampering treatments, guests also enliven their senses with Papillons, an art installation created by Catalan artist Isao Artiguas. The installation uses a combination of digital animation, mobiles and murals, and is inspired by the fluttering movements performed in the signature facial treatment. Are you ready to jet off to the French Riviera yet? Au revoir!
