Northern California’s McEvoy Ranch is known for its certified-organic extra virgin olive oils—they’re award-winning, the olives are grown with sustainable practices, and the ranch counts organic grape vines (and wine), flowers, vegetable garden and orchards as part of its crop.

This week, the ranch will also have the olive oil–enriched ODE line (there’s skin, hair, body and fragrance) to add to its repertoire. It was formerly distributed under 80 Acres, but, besides having a completely new look and name, there’s some very cool upgrades, ones that general manager Samantha Dorsey thinking will “define the eco-luxe category of beauty products.” In addition to being organic, all ODE products are certified by the Leaping Bunny organization, and all are paraben-, phthalate- and sulfate-free.

At the heart of the line is the super hydrating polyphenol- and antioxidant-rich star ingredient of the organic olive oil; those formulas are then coupled with the ranch’s home-grown botanicals, which the ranch says are specifically chosen for skin benefits like calming and brightening. (The Lavender Olive Oil Body Balm, $18, is like butter in a jar and looks like a highlighter on your legs.)
But perhaps the most unique offering is the three fragrances that define the line—totally unique and fresh scents that are inspired by the natural aromas found on the ranch. There’s Verde, the signature fragrance, a green mixture with hints of basil, tomato leaf and freshly cut grass. The modern floral of Bohemian Rose with rose, geranium, orange blossom, ylang-ylang, and pink peppercorn straight from the garden. Then the not-so-basic Lavender, which includes notes of ylang-ylang, lemon and lime paired with the estate’s hillside-grown lavender.
