Summer means sandals, and sandals mean exposed toes. We love to see pretty-colored piggies, but fungus-yellow doesn’t top our list of hot summer shades.
Toenail fungus tends to affect men more than women, but that doesn’t mean your feminine feet can’t come down with a case of onychomycosis. (Even the medical term is unattractive!) You can keep on covering it up with nail polish, but that can actually make things worse by sealing in the infection. Even treatment polishes can spread the spores!
Instead of brushing on more trouble, try a more hygienic dropper-style formula like Barielle Fungus Rx. This stink-free solution uses an active ingredient called tolnaftate to fight the bacteria, viruses and fungi that can haunt unfortunate feet.
The antimicrobial formula works well on fingernails, too, should the embarrassing telltale signs of fungus make an appearance atop your digits. (But we’re crossing all of our fingers and toes that you won’t have to use it!)
