Nordstrom has long been a favorite destination for beauty aficionados thanks to its wide product selection and exceptional customer service (*cough* returns anytime *cough*), and it’s about to get even better. The Seattle-based department store just announced it’s rolling out a new “natural beauty” shop this month within 46 of its brick and mortar locations, including major cities like Los Angeles, Dallas, Seattle, Chicago and more. Although the term “natural” is unregulated as far as beauty goes, and comes with a host of misunderstandings, Nordstrom is defining its use of the word to mean products that are free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates. In addition to moving current products that qualify into this new Naturals section (Tata Harper, RMS, Eve Lom, bareMinerals), the retailer will also start carrying popular new brands such as Hervibore, Lanolips and Youth to the People).
A 2013 market study reported cited that organic beauty is expected to grow to $13.2 billion in sales by 2018. Luckily for those who are conscious of ingredients in their daily products, there’s now a new place to shop where all the best beauty brands—sans the controversial ingredients—are already curated for them.
