“To be honest, I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything. I wear sunscreen, and I don’t smoke. I take care of myself. And I’m very proud to say that.”
That was the lovely Nicole Kidman in 2007, interviewed by Marie Claire. It’s just one of many Botox denials the award-winning Australian actress has offered up over the last few years-years filled with a remarkably smooth forehead for a fair-skinned 40-something.
However, Kidman has finally confessed to a German entertainment magazine that, in addition to eating healthfully and exercising to keep herself big-screen beautiful, “I have also tried Botox.”
Many movie-goers have said that she’s looked “Botoxed” throughout the years she’s been denying the wrinkle-relaxing treatment, citing a lack of lines between her brows, but the presence of noticeable crinkles on the sides of the bridge of her nose when she smiles-a tell-tale sign of long-term Botox use in some patients.
Less than two years ago, Kidman was not only denying Botox, but also pledging to never try it.
“For an actor, facial expressions and emotions are really important. That’s why I’ll never have Botox,” she told the UK’s Daily Mail. “I’ve always been against that, and seeing Botox on TV with all the swelling and pain put me off it anyway. The directors always allow actors with Botox but I just say, ‘No way, not for me.’”
Well, it apparently was for her, at least for a little while. But she followed up her recent confession with a disappointed review of the popular injectable.
“Now I don’t use it anymore,” she claims. “I can move my forehead again!”
