Actress, director and philanthropist Nicola Peltz Beckham knows a thing or two about beauty (this is the daughter-in-law of Victoria Beckham, after all), but even the most educated have experienced a snafu in the sun department. That’s why she’s teaming up with ISDIN, Spain’s number-one sun care brand, to bring its fan-favorite Fusion Water Magic sunscreen to the States. Besides giving us all the details on why she considers the SPF “perfect,” Peltz Beckham recently chatted with us about why she loves the line and the products and treatments that really work for her super-sensitive skin.
How did you discover ISDIN, and how do you use the products in your day-to-day?
I love ISDIN’s Melatonik Overnight Recovery Serum ($175) that I use at night for overnight skin recovery, but my favorite product is the new Fusion Water Magic ($38) sunscreen—especially when I’m putting on makeup since it’s ultralight and super hydrating. It’s the perfect product if I’m doing a shoot outside or, honestly, anytime I’m going out and wearing makeup. It’s perfect and I know my skin is always protected while I’m wearing it.
Are you pretty good about sun protection?
Yes! I really try, though sometimes I fail. I actually got burned so badly the Sunday after my wedding; I was a literal lobster. When Brooklyn and I shot the cover of British Vogue, they had to severely edit my arms and my neck because I was completely red. I hadn’t realized I only applied sunscreen to my face and forgot about my chest and arms. Even now, three years later, if I take a hot shower, you can still see the lines from my dress. Sun damage is intense—that’s why I am spreading the word with ISDIN about the importance of wearing sunscreen daily.
You travel a ton. Are there any spots you especially love for wellness?
I really love Carasoin Salon. Lena has been doing my facials since I was 17. Anytime I feel like I need help, she’s the one I go to. She’s just the nicest person ever, super knowledgeable and so gentle. Even if she’s doing something intense like microneedling, you don’t leave with irritation, which is huge for me because I have really sensitive skin.
Are there any products Brooklyn and you share?
Deodorant? We just bought one last week that I love. It’s Old Spice, technically for boys, but it smells like coconut or something like that. It’s kind of unisex but definitely has a girly scent to it, which I like.
Your mother-in-law also has a great beauty line. What is your holy grail from her makeup or skin-care collection?
I honestly love all of it, but the line has a great eyeliner ($34). I have so much fun trying new products and testing everything out. I’ll stay up into the wee hours of the night watching TikTok; Brooklyn will be like, ‘How are you still watching makeup videos?’ But I find them so relaxing and informative. I love watching them, and I really do learn so much from TikTok and end up buying so many of the products I see—all the lip stains, the freckles, you name it.
