We know Naomi Watts for her time on the big screen, but since founding indie beauty brand Onda Beauty, we look to her for natural beauty tips and tricks, too. In a recent interview with The New York Times, she talks through her most-loved skin care and makeup products and how her beauty ritual has kept her centered through these crazy times.

Watts, who admits to having sensitive skin, says founding a beauty brand has transformed her into a skin-care connoisseur, and while her routine is always changing, she has found her absolute favorites along the way.

“I really don’t cleanse in the morning unless I’m working out,” the 52-year-old tells The New York Times. In that case, she’ll use the African Botanics Baobab Clay Oxygenating Cleanser ($70) or just a splash of water. Right now, she’s excited about Furtuna skin-care products and she’s also addicted to Symbiome The Answer ($200). “It’s a serum, and it feels good on,” she says. Another serum she touts for its anti-aging properties is Dr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum ($300).

“I’m not someone who wants to put too many things on at once, but I’m at the point in my life where I’m invested in my skin. Before it was all about a pair of shoes or what jeans are trending. That’s for a 20-something.”

Her favorite makeup products go perfectly alongside her quick five-minute routine. In her lineup are a few different lipsticks, but with masks constantly moving the color around, she says she’s been opting for a balm. “But if I’m going out, I bring it with me to put on at the restaurant and wipe it off before I put on the mask.”

The King Kong star also loves a good brow, so she reaches for Beautycounter Color Define Brow Pencil ($24) or RMS back2brow Powder ($22). “I like Beautycounter if I need some coverage. They have this Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer ($45) that comes in a silver tube. Every time I work on a movie, I introduce it to the makeup artist. It’s great for film when you just need a little makeup but you don’t want it to be readable.”
